The Truth about the Suit

The Truth about the Suit

December 10, 2019

I majored in Economics at UT Knoxville.  As a college student, I imagined a career in banking and had this vision of myself in a suit, carrying a brief case and working downtown.  It meant that I would finally be accomplished, strong and successful.

Now, 25 years later...I know that those feelings do not come from a job title or the suit you are wearing.  It comes from the lives you touch and how you are able to lift others by using your specific gifts to complete a job that God has called you to do.

Aside from the silly idea that a suit would deem me successful, there are 3 facts about women in suits you should know.

Fact #1.  Suits have never gone out of fashion. They have graced the catwalks every year for the last 25 years.  You just may not see them as often on professional women because of Fact #2 and Fact #3.
Fact #2.  Suits are for ALL women; the philanthropist, the interviewer, the symphony ticket holder, the guest at the wedding, even the retired social bug.
Fact #3.  A woman's suit is typically worn as separates more often than together.  The separates will mix and match within her wardrobe. Then, when the occasion calls, worn together.

Having a custom made suit can even simplify getting dressed in the morning.  When you come into Stitch-It, I am here to guide you to the best suit style for you.  Just like your beloved Sevier Skirts, I will make sure that you will enjoy them as separates worn in many, many ways.

And when the occasion calls.....together.

Love to all,
